Karr Editorial was founded in 2004 by Justin Karr, a former editor with Gale, a world leader in e-research and educational publishing. While working for the Gale Group, Mr. Karr served as project manager of Short Story Criticism—an academic resource for information on writers of short fiction—and coordinated content for the Literature Resource Center, an online reference interface. He holds a B.A. in English from Western Michigan University.
Leslie Karr, managing editor, earned a B.B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Wayne State University. Formerly the Assistant Director of Marketing for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Detroit’s Gem and Century Theatres, Mrs. Karr has a wide range of writing, copyediting, and proofreading experience, having developed a variety of promotional materials and marketing communications.
